Biography

Prof. Said El-Khamy received the Ph.D. degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, USA, in 1971. He is currently an Emeritus Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University, Alexandria, Egypt. His Current research areas of interest include Wireless Communications, Smart Antenna Arrays, Cognitive Radio, UWB, Image processing, Modern Signal Processing Techniques. He has published more than three hundreds scientific papers in national and international conferences and journals and also chaired technical sessions in many local and international conferences. Prof. El-Khamy is an IEEE Life Fellow Member and a fellow of the Electromagnetic Academy. He has earned many national and international research awards among which are the IEEE, R.W.P. King best paper award of the Antennas and Propagation Society of IEEE, in 1980 and the IEEE Region 8 Volunteer Award for 2011.
