I thought you’re not supposed to add titles like “Rav” and stuff when Davening for a Choleh.

Definitely remove the Rav and surname and all titles and the shlita parts when davening.

Some people claim to have a deeper tfilla when they know for whom it is they are davening.

And thanks for answering a question that I had: if people actually read the tehillim stickies or if it’s better to open a new thread.

Is the tefilla more effective when it is deeper?

I would imagine so. The more ????????, the stronger ????? one has. The stronger the ?????, the more ???? it has in ????????.

This doesn’t mean we’ll necessarily get the results we’d like.

When davening or saying Tehilim for an Adom Gadol, are you supposed to include “Rav” (or any other title) in the name?

The Yehi Ratzon is found at the end of most sifrei Tehillim and is said only after completing at least one sefer of the five, which correspond to one of the Torah’s five sfarim.

The 150 kapitlach are divided into 5 sfarim:

    1. Sefer Rishon- 1-41 kineged Braishis

    2. Sefer Shaynee- 42-72 kineged Shmos

    3. Sefer Shlishi- 73-89 (a short one!) kineged Vayikra

    4. Sefer Revii- 90-106 (also short!) kineged Bamidbar

    5. Sefer Chamishi-107-150 kineged Dvarim

There are two Yehi Ratzons: one for weekdays and a shortened one for Shabbos and YO”T.

Please daven for Chaya Esther Bas Faiga Yenta. She is a young mother who just gave birth a few weeks ago. She developed sepsi(infection in the blood) and is now hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit. Her case is extremely serious because she does not have a spleen (she had it removed in the past), which makes it difficult for the body to fight infection.

I would like to join the Tehillim Group, as I would like to contribute to completing a whole sefer Tehillim each day. I would like to commit to reciting Prakim 113 and 114 daily. But I have two questions:

    1) If for some reason I miss a day, will saying the prakim twice the next day compensate? It might happen sometimes,…

    2) I cannot promise to read the website and say all the names requested, but I have a list and sometimes add to it. Is that OK?

If not OK, please let me know…

    Thanks Saralee

    Location: Israel.
